Willis's father was a member of a local church in Kenya. He lived with his mother and father in a happy home. Willis' father was killed by robbers on his way home from work in December 2012. Willis' mother was distressed and unable to continue to care for him.

Willis is a very happy child and is well-loved at Reformed Heart Orphans Center. Willis is a bright young boy who attends school and is currently in fourth grade.
